Reopened in 2012 after a major refurbishment, the Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology offers a feast of images and ideas. It has world-class collections of Oceanic, Asian, African and native American art including objects from the voyages of Cook.
Displays are arranged on three floors with the upper levels accessible by lift and stairs.
A fascinating new display on the ground floor consists of 170 artefacts found in the Cambridge area and originating from the Medieval, Roman and Pre-History periods. The objects are overlaid on a map, showing where they were found the period they were made.
Open all year Tue - Sat 10:30AM - 4:30PM Closed Mondays, Christmas Day, New Year%27s Day.
